I purchased the EcoTools Cosmetic Brushes for Walgreens for 10.99 plus tax. I don't believe in smelling or rubbing brushes on my face before washing them, so how they smelled or felt before washing I can't tell you.However...When I washed the brushes there was no die or no shedding of bristles....
