How to describe this is difficult, are we watching mental illness here? group think? or a combination of both? Quote: "it seems everyday I get delivered from something I didn't know I had" is quite a sad thing to hear really, this person clearly needs some professional guidance, but they fall between the cracks to be exploited by 'x' religion or 'x' cult. We all need to belong to a group and feel part of something - which is great (usually) - but when it's filled with hate and self loathing it's perhaps not so great. Any org that claims to cure a person for who they biologically are is of concern - it's not the darkages anymore (according to the calendar). Bit taken from Louis Theroux documentary

Dec 10, 2008 - Lol LDP, "Any org that claims to cure a person for who they biologically are is of concern - it's not the darkages anymore."You must *love* scientology then!

Dec 10, 2008 - Actually, the use or 'org' was purely an abbreviation for organisation - it wasn't meant to target any one particular institution. When I read what I wrote after the fact, that did cross my mind that it looked like I was referring directly to scientology - but I wasn't. I can't think think of one organised religion that doesn't have a program or two to 'cure' ppl of their sexuality and / or gender orientation (trans etc).
