HSN has lots of devoted customers, but none more so than Sherry from Illinois who called host Colleen Lopez live on air the evening of July 2. Sherry was in the hospital waiting for the birth of her first grandchildren -- twin girls -- and wanted to share her excitement (and the progress of her daughter's labor). So instead of pacing, she tuned in her favorite "Absolute Celebration" show and shopped for jewelry to pass time while waiting. Was she anxious for the girls to be born? "Yes, but the longer she's in labor, the more I get to spend."

Jul 24, 2008 - So sad. And people don't realize how severely over priced the products are. The skin care and make up are made in the same factories as the stuff you can buy over the counter.Then they get either a celeb or a celeb name dropper, to try and sell stuff that is extremely over priced.

Jul 25, 2008 - I'm not understanding what you're saying emcsN! Where do YOU shop, department stores? First, if you want good makeup, you need to spend more. But the FACT is, HSN and QVC are 30-50% LESS than stores. Have you ever GONE to a MAC or Clinique counter? What I've always found SAD is that more people don't realize they're throwing money away in department stores! And as for shopping for makeup in a pharmacy or drugstore, one can only do that for certain things. Spend a LITTLE more, you'll get more.

Jul 25, 2008 - And what would you do if you were not allowed in the room with YOUR daughter while she was giving birth, and HAD to wait in the waiting room. ONE person was allowed in the delivery room with the woman's daughter. That was the son in law. The mother was passing the time, while waiting! If you had listened closer before LEAPING to such a judgement, perhaps you'd have understood why this woman was watching TV. (She even said her daughter's husband was "hogging" her daughter!)

Jul 25, 2008 - I do not work for HSN, nor do I have any interest in PROTECTING their reputation. However, 6 years ago I took the plunge and bought my FIRST computer from HSN, based on a presentation. They allowed me to split the purchase into 5 interest free monthly installments, and gave me $500 of software with the package. And because it was a Gateway PC, I also got a LIFETIME of free tech support that is not outsourced to some other country. So HSN is more than ok in my book. (I am still using the same PC)
