John Zaffis (born 1955) is a paranormal researcher based in Connecticut. He runs the Paranormal and Demonology Research Society of New England[1] which he founded in 1998.Zaffis has over thirty years experience as a paranormal investigator.[2] He spent his first years studying under his uncle and aunt Ed and Lorraine Warren[3], both demonologists.[4] What he learned from his aunt and uncle went far beyond his original interests in ghosts and haunted houses.[5] He became interested in demonology from a young age,[6] which led into Zaffis's involvement with cases of possession and exorcism and working with prominent exorcists in that field. He has studied the work of Roman Catholic priests, monks, Buddhists, rabbis and Protestant ministers.[7] Zaffis has also taken part and assisted with the work of such well-known exorcists as Bishop Robert McKenna, Malachi Martin and the Reverend Jun.[8]Zaffis has made appearances on Unsolved Mysteries, Fox News Live[9] and the Discovery Channel documentaries Little Lost Souls and Haunting in Connecticut.[10] Currently he co-hosts the Paranormal Nights radio show with Brendan Keenan. He runs the Museum of the Paranormal located in Stratford, Connecticut.He has appeared six times on the long running radio program Coast to Coast AM from 2005 to 2007.[11] Often, he is a guest/co-host on the Beyond Reality Radio program hosted by The Atlantic Paranormal Society's Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson.Research has taken him all over the United States, as well as Canada, England and Scotland. He lectures at colleges, universities and libraries throughout America.[12] In the 2008 docu-drama which is currently filming, Zaffis plays himself as the demonologist.[13]
